CAUSEWAY GR1.1

The long awaited arrival of the Causeway GR 1.1 is finally here!

With huge success and recognition as a leader among the progressive aluminium gravel chassis available we made some slight updates to improve the frames user friendliness and address some of the user gripes that we had seen with the first generation frame.

This revision sees some new colour options and the switch to a tough wearing high gloss finish to help combat against those scratches and chips caused whilst out attacking gravel. The GR1.1 also benefits from an update to our down tube which sees the removal of the original cable manager system in favour of low density foam insert tubing for the internally routed cables. Easier fitment, easier replacement, less fuss!

Frame: The FUSTLE Causeway 

The FUSTLE Causeway 6061 grade aluminium frame is compatible for both 650b and 700C wheel sets with 142mm x 12mm rear axle spacing and 100mm x 12mm on the front, secured into your frame by bolt through axles! With internal cable routing and cable deadening throughout and a modern day 31.6 seat tube, your options from static seat posts to dropper posts are endless. As for headset your frame comes accompanied with a FSA 1 1/8 - 1.5 inch headset along with x2 10mm, x2 5mm spacers to hep you get your height set just right. Also to help protect your chain stay your frame will come supplied with one of our own Fustle chain stay protectors.

Fork: The Causeway Carbon Fibre fork

The Causeway Carbon Fibre fork and tapered steerer has been engineered and manufactured as one piece to ensure strength and durability. Being both 650b and 700C compatible and allowing for tires clearances up to 50mm on 700C. Three fixing points on either side of the fork, allowing for mudguard, paneers, water bottle etc etc. The options all yours!

One of our best selling bike builds to date, this revision sees a massive update to the drivetrain in the form of the brand new Shimano GRX-820 1x12 groupset as well as a refinement of the component specification with a goal to make the ultimate do it all aggressive gravel bike. 

 TRAIL:

This year, we have split our bike builds into 2 distinct categories, to help tailor the build more specifically to the rider. The TRAIL builds all come with a very off road focussed vision and a component package to suit. These bikes are built onto our award winning Causeway GR1.1 chassis, which has been recognised by many as the 'go-to' for aggressive and confidence inspiring off road capabilities. 

WIDE(R) RANGE FOR ALL TERRAIN:

The GRX-820 1x12 drivetrain now offers a huge 10-51t cassette paired with a 40t crankset offering a massive 510% gear range enabling the rider to tackle even the steepest of climbs with ease. (an increase in range of 128% over the previous 11spd groupset)

The GRX-820 brake/shift levers come packed with ride enhancing technology to maximise power and grip no matter where you are holding on. Servo-wave technology acts as a booster for your braking by using a cam style system to provide increased braking power and keep the brake levels feeling light and responsive. 

The hoods are optimised for flared bars and have a focus on offering a comortable and grippy position for your hands whether your on the hoods or down on the drops. 

The rear derailleur has been updated with even more MTB tech which means your chain stays firmly where it should on any descent so all you need to think about is keeping the bike upright and flowing down the trail with a smile on your face.
