A Family Business
It all grew from an idea we had in 2018 about how to make our cycling more enjoyable, and to be able to do more of it!
As a young family, we became obsessed with being efficient with the limited time that we had when it came to getting outdoors for a cycle.
That developed into designing a better gravel bike that would take us from our front door and into the wilderness as quickly and painlessly as possible.

OUR CORE VALUES
Our Mission
- We build bikes that are designed for fun.
- We build them for riders who value smiles over stats.
- We select the best parts available and build them into our vision of the perfect bike for Northern Ireland.
- This creates a community of riders who ride more often and create adventures on every ride.
Our Goals
- We will work with selected partners to develop the products that we want to see on the market.
- We will work closely with our customers and ambassadors to create content of value to educate and inform about off road cycling here in Northern Ireland.
Our Vision
- We want to become Irelands leading off road bike company and help build awareness of cycling in Ireland.
- We want to see more of our bikes around the mountains and coasts of Ireland and a wider understanding and passion for cycling amongst outdoor enthusiasts.
- We want to help map and document the network of off road routes that are yet to be discovered.
Our Values
- We stand for better, more simple products to make cycling easier and more enjoyable.
- We believe that it’s the people you ride with and the adventures you have that bring the most joy, and we want to empower more people to find their own adventures on every ride.
Our History...

2018
It all started with a dream
From the spare room of our semi detached Holywood home, the idea of a better gravel bike started to become a reality!

2019
Off to Asia...
What better way to kick off our new company than a trip to Taiwan to meet the manufacturers who could turn our vision into a reality.

2020
Official launch in spring 2020
With our sample bikes arrived, we headed on a road trip around Northern Ireland to shoot our launch video and prepare to introduce Fustle to the world.

2021
Making waves with innovation in the gravel segment
We were blown away with how our bikes were received by the industries top media outlets. Many of our initial sales came from Journalists who didn't want to return the test bikes, so we were off to a great start!

2022
Updates to an award winning chassis
At the end of 2021, we were awarded a Design & Innovation Award for our Causeway frame, which we updated with fresh colourways as we entered 2022.

2023
Exploring new materials
After a challegning few years navigating the effects of Covid-19 on the cycle industry, we set about developing a locally produced version of our Causeway with neighbour and local frame builder Owen Byrne of Donard.cc

2024
Focus on Family
2024 was the year we focussed on building our cycling community and made an effort to bring people together with our Ride Out series all across Northern Ireland, as-well as supporting charity events such as Pedal The Periphery
#fustlefamily
Design & tested in Northern Ireland
Developed by the people we live amongst, Fustle was built on a desire to improve cycling here on the island of Ireland and the people are at the core of all of our values.

Fun comes first!
Our view is that cycling should bring joy and pleasure. It shouldn’t be solely about the suffering and the statistics.
We strive to see more smiles on the face of someone riding a new route for the first time, or narrowly dodging a crash on some slippy terrain that they didn’t see coming.

Powered by our people
As a small self funded company, our customers and ambassadors are the pillar of everything that we do. Without our #fustlefamily we have nothing, and because of this, we rely on feedback from the real world, and focus our product development on the needs and wants of real riders who are looking for that distraction from the daily grind.

Proud of our roots
Being based in Northern Ireland, it’s easy to feel like an underdog in a world of big bike brands with huge budgets and teams. But that’s exactly what makes us so hungry to represent our Island and harness the unique character that our people and their surroundings have to offer. Ireland has been home to some of the worlds greatest cyclists, and as a company we thrive off the will to punch above our weight and put Northern Ireland cycling on a world stage.
