What a belter!!!
Fustle Family Ride-Out 26.2 was one of the best, and we definitely got lucky with the weather.
25 riders showed up despite the rain clouds hovering overhead, and after a quick downpour on the start line, it was blue skies and plain sailing for the rest of the day.
I put together a mostly off-road route, all around the trails and forests that I grew up on, and it was awesome to see the reactions on everyone’s face as they tackled the terrain.
The loop took in the forests and fireroads around Clandeboye estate, along with parts of the Ulster Way off road path, and even small sections of the new Greenway that is opening imminently between Newtownards and Comber.
We lost a few riders along the way with punctures, but almost everyone made it to the finish where a well earned ice cold refreshment was waiting
Thanks to everyone who came out, and to those who also donated for our charity cycle next week, it means a lot!
